Since 1811, this park on the banks of the Danube has been the largest green area in Neu-Ulm and Ulm.
Over a total length of 2 kilometres, Friedrichsau Park, with its collection of old trees and small lakes, provides plenty of space for relaxation.
Beach volleyball, basketball and football courts, outdoor chess, mini golf and many playgrounds - there´s just something for everybody.
Thursty and hungry? Several beer gardens and restaurants in the park are open all year round for food and drinks.
Visit the zoo to see a wide variety of animals – from kangaroos to blue frogs – in almost 100 individual units. A new addition is the walk-through, glass tunnel, where you can explore the variety fish living in the Danube.
In May, Friedrichsau Park is the venue for the ›Ulmer Zelt‹, a big cultural festival in the circus tent and in July, it hosts the ›Ulmer Volksfest‹.
From Friedrichsau Park, you can take a circular river cruise on the Danube, from where you can see Ulm and Neu-Ulm from a whole different perspective.
